Imagine a world where everybody knew exactly what ingredients and products would bring them their desired skin. Nobody would struggle with ineffectiveness, irritations would be an exception, and building and sticking to a routine would be so much easier! Unfortunately, not everyone is an expert in their own skin type. We are here to help you!
In previous blog articles, we introduced you to our Customize Your Skincare Collection. If you haven’t seen them, you can do so here, here and here.
But now we will talk about the different skin types and what is special about them. We hope this will help you build the most appropriate routine for your skin.
#Oily skin
Oily skin is the one that produces too much sebum, which leads to unwanted shine. Often people with this skin type try to mattify it but to see visible results, you need to balance the production of excess sebum. The main mistake that people make is their use of a lot of drying products.
In most people with this skin type, the pores expand and acne can occur. It is very important to exfoliate oily skin with gentle exfoliants. Excess sebum can lead to the accumulation of dead skin cells in the pores, which can worsen the condition of the skin.
The good news is that oily skin ages much more slowly than other skin types. It is denser and has visibly fewer fine lines.
We recommend a balanced diet and appropriate care products. Good hydration is important, with non-comedogenic products and good, gentle cleansing. If you wear makeup, be sure to remove it perfectly so as not to clog the pores further.
We will try to help you build the best routine according to your skin type with our Customize Your Skincare Collection.
For perfect and healthy skin, we recommend using 4 steps:

#Dry skin
Dry skin often feels tight and flaking can sometimes occur. The pores are almost invisible, but the skin is prone to faster aging and thus, visible fine lines.
Skin resulting in dryness could be the result of different factors, from genetic predisposition to the use of products, which are too drying. To improve the condition of your skin, you need to use a suitable moisturizing product.
Clean your skin regularly, with gentle products, which do not dry it out too much. Light moisturizers would not be enough to hydrate it. Use creams with a richer formula, but also a suitable oil.
An urban myth is that drinking more water will improve the condition of dry skin. We all know that water is important for the entire body, but this type of skin needs skincare products to nourish and moisturize it.

#Combination skin
Combination skin is probably the most common of all – it combines two or more different facial skin types. Most often the combination is of dry/normal with oily skin. Many people with this skin type think they have oily skin and use very aggressive products.
Usually, the T-zone – the forehead, nose, and chin, are the areas where oiliness and shine are observed. The important thing when choosing cosmetics is to look for lighter cleansing products that gently exfoliate and balance the skin. We should not forget the hydration, which in turn will moisturize the drier areas and balance the production of sebum.
In case the skin of the cheeks is significantly drier than that of the T-zone, you can use two different moisturizing products in the different zones.

If your skin is also sensitive, you can include REVUELE Centella Asiatica in your routine.
#Acne-prone skin
Acne-prone skin needs specific care to deal with its problems. This skin type is characterized by a propensity to develop comedones and pimples. Very often, it produces more sebum but differs from oily skin. It is prone to outbreaks of the sebaceous glands.
Acne can be caused by various factors, including hormonal imbalances, improper diet, use of inappropriate cosmetics, etc. In case of a health problem, we advise you to consult with a specialist.
It is a common mistake to think that only teenagers suffer from acne, as many adults also have this problem.
To take the best care of your skin, you need to use appropriate products that cleanse gently but effectively. Many people with this skin type don‘t hydrate it. Proper and regular hydration will regulate sebum production and reduce the possibility of future outbreaks.

#Mature skin
With age, the skin loses important elements, cell metabolism slows down and its renewal becomes slower. The first signs of aging include the appearance of fine lines and loss of elasticity. One of the first areas where this is noticed is around the eyes and lips.
To prevent the appearance of deep lines and to keep your skin younger for a longer time, it is important to use special skincare. We advise you to start using anti-aging products around the age of 35 to prevent future damage that would be more difficult to resolve once it occurs.
To prepare the skin for the care you will apply, it is good to use exfoliators, the most effective of which are acids. Their use will exfoliate the skin, but will also have a beneficial effect on fine lines.
Use active ingredients to replenish the skin to nourish and restore the skin, and regular hydration is the key to a youthful complexion.
